Christians in Warji Local Government Area have been urged to celebrate Christmas in accordance with the teachings of the scripture.
The Caretaker chairman of the Council, Alhaji Muhammad Shuaibu made the call while presenting Christmas gifts and welfare package to Christian Community in the Area.
The Chairman, in collaboration with Bauchi State governor, State Commissioner for water resources and the House of Assembly member representing Warji constituency, donated rice, textile materials and cooking stuff to Christians to celebrate Christmas with abundance.
Shu’ibu explained that his council has robust relationship with the christians in Warji and urged them to maintain the spirit.
In a vote of thanks, the Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Warji Local Government chapter Pastor Isyaku Dano, commended the leaders for providing such items to make their Christmas celebration worthwhile.
He assured the chairman that the Christian community in the area would continue to support his government to achieve its policies and programs.
Some of the items distributed include bags of rice, palm oil ground nut oil, wrappers and textile among others.
