Revenue Generating Organizations in Bauchi urged to support state govt for more accrued revenue.
Revenue Generating organizations in Bauchi state have been urged to key into the State’s vision heralded by Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed of proposing the state to emerged amonst the first ten econimically viable states in the country by 2030.
The Execurive Chairman State Board of Internal Revenue, Alhaji Usman Mu’azu made the call at a one day Quarterly Coordination meeting of the revenue generating MDAs held in Bauchi.
He said the state has witnessed consistent growth in the area of revenue generation to almost thirty percent from 2019 to 2023.
Alhaji Usman Mu’azu described the Coordination meeting introduced with the support of state to state project as a strategic design to keep joint effort by all and sundry in the best interest of the state.
The Chairman called on all organizations in the state responsible for revenue generation including individual business owners to respond to modern approach being provided by the Revenue Board to file their taxes according to the prescribed law.
In a welcome address, the state team lead of State to state project Mrs Rabi Ojo, said the coordination meeting was facilatated for the first time as a mechanism to put all hands on deck in an effort to support the state for more accrued revenue to meet up with its rising demands profile of the state.
More than forty Heads of MDAs attended the meeting including Bauchi Radio Corporation (BRC).
