PDP Youth Wants to Initiate More Results Oriented Policies to Alleviate Suffering Being Experienced
The Federal Government has been requested to initiate more results oriented policies to alleviate suffering being experienced among people especially the less privileged in the country.
The National Chairman Peoples Democratic Party PDP States Youth Leaders Forum, Jamilu Ali Kalshingi who made the appeal while answering questions from newsmen shortly after a meeting with members of forum in Bauchi said the call became necessary as must people can not afford three square meal due to some of the policies.
Jamilu Kalshingi said all sections of the citizens are in hardship hence the need for the Federal government to rescind some of its policies and create job opportunities in order to alleviate the hardship being experienced among people especially youth.
“…all government’s efforts will be useless to the citizens, unless job creation and skill development at every corner of the nation are prioritised the country will not develop…..” Kalshingi said.
“…. it is not the best of times for the Federal Government to announce some policies but to remain constant in executing programmes that will help wriggle the citizens out of their plights….” He explained.
The PDP Youth Leader stressed the need for the Government to remain consistent in implementing policies that would boost the economy of the country.
Jamilu Kalshingi who is also the Gombe state youth leader urged the youth not to politicize issues or use religion to generate concern in the country.
“…. the membership of the forum across the 36 states of the federation converged on Bauchi to condole Governor Bala Muhammad over the death of his step mother….” the Youth Leader explained.
He used the medium to appreciate the commitment of Governor Bala Muhammad in transforming the state as well restructuring the PDP stressing that as the party belongs to Nigerians not an individual.
“…We are committed to give in our best towards the development of the country as we are the back born of every development….” Kalshingi stated.
Also speaking PDP youth leader from Cross River State Comrade Brown Ode said they were committed towards ensuring that Youth have a better position in the society.
On the issue of Atiku leaving the PDP, Comrade Ode said Atiku is very key in the party and he is still a figure and the father of the Party.
” ….Atiku is still the father of PDP, an elder statesman and he doesn’t do things without consultations, so we want the youth to rally round him without violence to rescue the country because I am optimistic that PDP will take over power in 2027…” Ode noted.
In a remark ,the host and Chairman PDP Youth Leader Bauchi state Babangida Maliya who appreciated the forum for their condolence visit said this it was a sign that the party is united.
“…. we are united as a body and we carry everybody along irrespective of ethno religious perspectives or differences …” Maliya said.
Babangida Maliyya said Bala Muhammad is among Governors that champion the course of peace in the country through dialog.
“….Governor Bala Muhammad has appointed many Youth on leadership position because about 70% of his cabinet are Youth and children of the masses….” He explained.
He added that during the tenure of Bala Muhammad the state has witnessed tremendous changes that will be remembered forever.
