NON GOVERMENTAL ORGANISATION ADVOCATES FOR COLLECTIVE APPROACH TOWARDS FINANCING EDUCATION SECTOR.

An NGO Working in Bauchi state, ”Young Leaders Network” has advocated the need for collective approach from individuals, Non Governmental Organizations, Companies and governments to Collaborate in financing education in the state
The Executive Director of the Network Mr Shegun Justine stated this while speaking to newsmen shortly after a one day learning event to Young people aimed at increasing budgetary allocation through free lancing mechanism, at the Basic, secondary and tertiary levels held in Bauchi
Earlier in his presentation, the Program Manager on governance and mobilization Mr, Moses Danjuma Kusko sensitized the participants on previous and present governments educational policies and programs and advised them to get an alternative educational funding for themselves considering the rising cost of fees in schools
He called on educational Stakeholders to take responsibilities rather than shifting blames on each other aimed at achieving progress and development.
The Young learning event centered on alternative sources of educational funding in Bauchi State and what individuals can do to support the progress of education in Bauchi state among other topics.
