No fewer than 150 Women benefits for Women Agricultural support Programme in Bauchi.

About one hundred and fifty women in Bauchi State benefited from the women Agricultural support programme.
The programme was organize by the Federal Ministry of agriculture and Food Security in collaboration with the Renewed Hope Initiative, State Ministry of agriculture and the office of the state first lady Dr Aisha Bala Muhammad.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the training to the beneficiaries at the Command Guest in Bauchi, the state first lady Dr Aisha Bala said the federal Ministry of agriculture and Food Security and the Renewed hope initiative led by the First lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Senator Oluremi Tunibu her leadership had been instrumental in the design and implementation of the program to impact positively on the lives of women in the communities.
She said, the women Agricultural support programme has been carefully structured to empower women with the Agricultural practices, distribution of essential starter inputs, and financial support to Kickstart or expand their Agricultural ventures.
Dr Aisha Bala Muhammad explained that the program kickstated with a budget of 36,270,270.27, which has been strategically allocated to ensure optimal impact,
stressing that each beneficiary will receive Agricultural starter inputs worth one hundred thousand including high quality seeds, fertilizer, pesticides, and other necessary resources and announced the donation of one hundred thousand naira cash to each of the beneficiaries under the programme to enable successful farming activities and address immediate financial needs.
The state first lady also said through the investment, they are not just providing financial support but equipping the women with the tools, resources, and knowledge to become key players in promoting food security, economic growth, and sustainable development in the state.
She emphasised on the broader vision of WASP in not only empowering individual women but also about fostering community resilience, reducing poverty, and ensuring that every household has access to nutritious food.
Dr Aisha Bala Muhammad commended the First lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Senator Oluremi Tunibu for her unwavering commitment to women’s Empowerment at the national level, and other partners as well as stakeholders, whose contributions and collaboration have brought this vision to fruition and her gratitude to the one hundred and fifty beneficiaries for their readiness to embrace the opportunity and use it as a platform to improve their lives and communities.
In their separate presentations during the training, professor Sale Idi from ATBU Bauchi and his counterpart Professor Yunusa shuaibu trained the participants on new farming system ans how to address problems facing their farming.
They Commended the First lady of the federal Republic of Nigeria Senator Oluremi Tunibu and state first lady for a job weldone and advised the participants to utilize what they have been given in a practical way and share the knowledge to other people.
In her goodwill message, the state commissioner for women affairs and child development Hajiya Zainab Baban Takko said the gesture came at the right time considering the situation Nigerians find themselves and assured her ministry readiness to collaborate with the two first ladies for the benefit of others especially at the grassroots level.
