NIGERIA ASSOCIATION OF WOMEN JOURNALISTS CALLS FOR DELIGENCE AMONG MEMBERS IN THE DISCHARGE OF THEIR RESPONSIBILITIES

The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists has advocated the need for its members to redouble their effort in the next coming year to perform their legitimate functions diligently across the state.
The State Chairperson of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, Hajiya Rashida Yusuf made the call during a year end party organized by the association in the state.
Hajiya Rashida Yusuf disclosed that as the twenty-twenty five is fast approaching, the NAWOJ deemed it necessary to conduct the ceremony to gather all its members and discuss issues concerning the smooth operation of their duty.
She identified 14th of every December as a relaxing moment to each and every women Journalists in order celebrate and appreciate their contributions to the overall development of the society.
Hajiya Rashida Yusuf noted that gender base violence, child abuse, and sexual harassment are the major challenges that bedevils women across the globe and assured readiness to hold all the authorities concern accountable in order to curb the menace.
The NAWOJ Chairperson therefore promised to work round the clock to protect the right and the interests of members of the pen proffession and solicited for more support from her members to achieve the target.
