Member Representing Chinade/Madara visits Adamoyel flood victims, donates relief materials.

In his effort to provide succour to the people of Adamoyel displaced by flood during last year’s rainy season in Gambaki ward, the member representing Chinade/Madara Constituency at the state assembly, Dr. Nasiru Ahmed Ala has promised permanent resettlement of the victims in a different location within state government reserve forest in Katagum Local Government Area.

Dr. Nasiru Ahmed Ala made the promise when he visited the flood victims at their camps along Bulkachuwa-Azare highway over the weekend.

The lawmaker decried over the situation in which he found the victims camping inside locally built tents made from small shrubs, dried straws and grasses despite strong cold weather in the forest.

Dr. Nasiru Ala who was emotionally touched by their present condition of living, donated number of relief materials including blankets, mats and cash worth thousands of naira to the victims to ease their sufferings.

While calling on them to persevere on the calamity that befell them, he promised to work closely with local government authorities and the state ministry of land an survey for prompt resettlement of the flood victims in a more secured location inside the Dajin Gwamna forest.

Responding, the Adamoyel community leader Malam Yusuf Ibrahim thanked the lawmaker for the donation and kind gesture and promised judicious distribution of the items.
