KATAGUM EMIRATE CONFERS TRADITIONAL TITLE OF MADUGUN KATAGUM ON DEP GOV JATAU
Katagum Emirate Council has confered the tirtle of Madugun Katagum on the Bauchi State Deputy Governor, . Mohammed Auwal Jatau as earlier announced to him by the Emir of Katagum, Alhaji Umar Farouk ll.
Presenting the letter of conferment to the deputy governor in his office at the Government House, the Emir, represented by Dandalman Katagum, Alhaji Mohammed Gabi Ardo congratulated the governor on the official conferment of the traditional title of Madugun Katagum by the Emirate.
The Emir said the Emirate appreciated the deputy governor for his selfless service to humanity and urged to him to consider his traditional title as an opportunity to work for the overall development of the Emirate and the state in general.
Receiving the letter of comferment of the traditional title of Madugun Katagum, the Deputy Governor, Mohammed Auwal Jatau expressed gratitude and appreciation to the Emir for finding him worthy of the traditional title which is a testament to the trust and confidence the Emirate has in his capabilities.
Auwal Jatau said he is fully aware of the historical and cultural significance of this title and the responsibilities it entails and therefore assured that he will work towards promoting the welfare and unity of the people in order to achieve the desired objectives.
In a vote of thanks, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Y Sulaiman and the State PDP chairman, Pharmacist Samaila Adamu Burga congratulated the Deputy Governor on his well deserved traditional title and urged him not to relent in being humble and loyal to both Governor Bala Mohammed and the Emirate for the best interest of the state and its people.
