GOVERNOR BALA MOHAMMED MOURNS PASSING AWAY OF A JOURNALIST IN BAUCHI

Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed , has expressed deep shock over sudden death of of Hafsat Adebayo, a dedicated journalist and a member of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Correspondents’ Chapel, Bauchi.
In a press statement by Mukhtar Gidado ,Special Adviser Media and Publicity to the Governor, described her death as a great loss to both the government and the entire people of Bauchi State
The statement also described her passing away as a great loss not only to her immediate family but also to the journalism profession, particularly in Bauchi State, where she served with diligence, passion, and an unwavering commitment to truth and ethical reporting.
Governor Bala Mohammed extends his heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of late Hafsat Adebayo, praying that Almighty Allah grants them the strength to bear this great loss. Similarly, the Governor sympathizes with the leadership and members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Bauchi State Chapter and the Correspondents Chapel who have loss a valuable colleague and a shining example of journalism profession.
He therefore reiterated that Government and the good people of Bauchi State recognize and appreciate the sacrifices and contributions of journalists to nation-building, saying the loss of Hafsat Adebayo is not just a personal tragedy for her loved ones but a collective loss for the entire state and the Media community.
The Governor prayed that the Almighty Allah would forgive her shortcomings and grant her Aljanna Firdaus.
