Gov. Bala Mohammed advised State intending Christian pilgrims to respect laws of their host country.

Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed of Bauchi State has advised the state contingents for 2024 Christian pilgrimage to respect the laws of their host countries and remain vigilant amid the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict.

Speaking during a farewell ceremony at the Government House Bauchi, the governor urged the pilgrims to consider the journey a privilege to seek for spiritual growth and pray for peace, development, and prosperity in the State and Nigeria as a whole.

He also tasked pilgrimage officials to ensuring proper guidance and support for the pilgrims throughout the journey.

The Governor announced a donation of one hundred US dollars to each pilgrim as additional Basic Travel Allowance and support.

In their remarks, the Executive Secretary of the State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board Ibrahim Gwallang and the team leader, Engineer Joshua Titus Sanga commended the governor for his commitment to religious harmony and equitable treatment of all faiths.

Also speaking, the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria CAN Bauchi State Chapter Reverend Abraham Damina encouraged the pilgrims to represent the state positively during stay in the Holy Land.
