Former Bauchi state Gov enjoins parents to continue supporting the education of the Children.

Former Governor of Bauchi State Muhammad Abdullahi Abubakar has charged parents in the state to support the education of their children and less privileged children in their midst for the overall development of the state.

The former Governor gave the charge during the Quar’anic Graduation Ceremony of Iqrah International Academy, New GRA Bauchi.

Represented by his Alhaji Abdu Sule Katagum, who deputized him during his administration, M.A Abubakar expressed dismay on the nonchalant attitude of some parents who neglected the education of their children, urged them to change for the better.

The former Bauchi state enjoined parents to enroll their children in both Islamiyya and Western schools, which according to him it would go along way towards having an egalitarian society.

He thanked the teachers and management staff of the school for working round the clock towards imparting sound and qualitative knowledge to their students.

Also speaking, the former Bauchi state Grand Khadi Alhaji Abdu Marafa called on parents in the state to give utmost attention to the education of their children, as they will be account for in the day of judgement, and advised wealthy individuals to support Islamiyya teachers.

In her welcome address, a retired permanent Secretary in Bauchi, the proprietress, Iqrah International Academy, Hajiya Amina Abdullahi Muhammad, emphasized the need for parents to give maximum support to their children’s education.

She enumerated the challenges facing the school which include, lack of water, inadequate classes and called on state government, well to do individuals to support the school to enhance its operation.
