Bogoro Local Government Council promises to ensure efficient healthcare service delivery in the area

The Executive Chairman of Bogoro local Government area, Surveyor Lawi Yakubu Sumi has flagged off Polio Immunization in Gobbiya Community with a call on parents to join hands with government to kick polio out of Nigeria.

Flagging off the campaign, Surveyor Lawi Yakubu said no child would be left behind in against the killer diseases in Bogoro.

Represented by Councilor Gobbiya ward, Ishaya Gambo, Lawi explained that It is important for every household to join hands with government at all levels to eradicate polio, saying families members should contribute by promoting sanitation and proper hygiene.

The chairman pointed out that, Bogoro local government has resolved to live up to its mandate of providing efficient healthcare services to people across.

He commended the health workers for working relentlessly in the fight against polio and other child killer diseases through Immunization, frequent sensitization in their respective communities urged them to maintain the tempo.

Surveyor Lawi commended Bauchi State Primary Health Care Development Agency,World Health Organisation (WHO), United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), and other partners for their interventions in healthcare delivery services in the LGA.

He further called on Parents and guardians to give necessary support to health workers to ensure the success of the exercise.

In his welcome address, the Director Primary Health Care Department Bogoro local government Mr. Goodwill Hakuri, urged the local government Chairman to look into some of their request for the smooth exercise.

In a remark, the Local Government facilitator officer from World health Organization (WHO) Peter Ignatus called on mothers to take advantage of the exercise to allowed their children to be immunize.

In a vote of the thanks on behalf of the traditional leaders, the Village Head of Bogoro Mr. Nuhu Tafida, represented by Andarawus Adamu, expressed his gratitude to the local government Council for flagging off the exercise jn Gobbiya and assured the traditional rulers support in the area in eradicating polio.
