Youth in Bauchi State have been requested to know their health status before marriage.
The Proprietor Sabilil Huda, Adamu Dan fullo Memorial Academy and Raudatul Qur’an Islamiyya school Rariya in Bauchi metropolis Alaramma Abubakar Muhammad Rariya who made the call during a one day seminar for Islamiyya Schools Teachers, Students and Parents on testing before courtship held in Bauchi, said there is the need for youth to know their health status for a healthy leaving.
Alaramma Abubakar Muhammad Rariya said the move would prevent and as well reduce crisis encountered in the process of courtship after knowing each other’s status.
He expressed worry on how some youth engages in friendship with the intention of marriage and end up knowing the marriage cannot be conducted after knowing their status.
Alaramma Abubakar Rariya therefore called on parents to ensure that their children are well sensitized on the importance of testing before courtship.
In his presentation, a Medical Lab Scientist with the Bauchi state Specialist Hospital Yunusa Aliyu Tala urged youth to be mindful of those and where they carryout any test in order to have accurate and acceptable result.
Another paper presenter on premarital testing Medical and Islamic perspectives, Imam Ibrahim Arab Sani explained that it is accepted in Islam to go for test before marriage to prevent unforseen circumstances.
On his part,the Chairman Bauchi state Islamiyya schools Association BASISTA Kabiru Shuaibu Abubakar said the seminar is a welcome development, adding that it would address a lots of problems associated with marriage.
In an interview with some of the participants Hamza Idris, Adama Abubakar said the seminar has broaden their horizons, saying that they will implement what they have learnt.
The seminar has in attendance, over One hundred Islamiyya pupils in Bauchi State.
