Bauchi State Oil and Gas Academy Alkaleri has proposed nine professional skilled oriented National Innovative Diploma for accreditation to the National Board for Technical Education.

The Rector of the Academy Dr. Ahmed Suleiman Yero stated this during an interactive session with a accreditation team of the proposed programmes from NBTE headquarters, Abuja.
The nine proposed NID programmes he said include, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications technology, Computer Software Engineering, Solar Installation Technology, Automatic and Mechanics, Welding and fabrication, Buildings Construction and hardware Engineering.
Dr. Ahmed Suleiman said the proposed programmes were introduced by the BOGAA management to achieve proficiency and real life practical experience for students.
The rector added that, the programmes were also introduced to provide access to technical and vocational education in the state at the higher level.
He revealed that the state govt has provided the Academy with all the necessary requirements and a temporary site at the Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic Bauchi to ensure full accreditation of it’s proposed programmes.
Dr. Ahmed Suleiman appreciated Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed for providing human and and material resources at the Academy for effective smooth running of education activities.
Responding, the team leader of the accreditation programme Mrs. Fatima Kabir said they were in the state to see human and material resources at the Academy which is a solid foundation for the full take up of the institution’s academic activities.
Mrs. Fatima Kabir disclosed the, the National Innovative Diploma programme is a two year, four semesters approved programme of the National Board for Technical Education under the Federal ministry of education created to handle Technical and vocational education.
According to her, the Bauchi State Oil and Gas Academy Alkaleri is the first of its kind the North, stressing that the accreditation team after its findings would advised the appropriate authority to ensure full accreditation of course proposed by the Academy.
