BAUCHI STATE MINISTRY OF JUSTICE REITERATES COMMITMENT TO SPEED UP DISPENSATION OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE

Bauchi State Ministry of Justice says it has a robust plan to speed up administration of criminal justice in the state.
The state Attorney General and Commissioner of the ministry, Barrister El-Yakub Hussain SAN made the disclosure when he appeared before the house commitee on justice and judiciary to defend the 2025 budget estimate of the ministry.
Barrister El-Yakub Hussain, stated that efforts have been made to ease the prolong time taking in the process of court cases.
He said, all the necessary law books that will guide the judges carry out their judicial activities has been inserted in the 2025 budget proposal and commended the state government for the support it is giving to the state judicial sector.
Also speaking, the Chief Registrar Bauchi State High Court, Hajiya Fatima Abubakar expressed readiness to complete all offices project and initiate new ones in the coming year.
Hajiya Fatima Abubakar, who spoke through the Director in the judicial service commission, Garba Mohammed said, her office is doing everything possible to give the High court complex a new facelift, saying it will also embark on renovation of some offices and courts premises across the state.
Similarly, the Chairman Bauchi State accountability and complaints Commission, DIG Sani Usman Mohammed retired, said the agency work assiduously to ensure that permanent office is provided to the commission.
DIG Sani Usman Mohammed said as an investigative agency, the state government is poised to assist them to discharge their core mandate of ensuring a transparent public and private services.
