BAUCHI STATE MINISTRY OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION SENSITISES DIRECTORS ON DIGITAL LITERACY

Directors at the Bauchi State Ministry of Information and communication have been urged to update their knowledge on current realities to meet global challenges.

The outgone state Commissioner Ministry of Information and communication Comrade Usman Garba Danturaki made the call during the flagging off a two day Digital Literacy Training for Directors of Ministry of Information and communication held in Bauchi.

Comrade Usman Danturaki said Directors in the Ministry needs essential skills to strengthen their capacity for them to perform optimally.

He explained that public Office holders should be encouraged to update their ICT skills periodically as may be required by their schedules duties.

The outgone commissioner who is also the Special Adviser to Governor Bala Muhammad on Labour Matters and Contributory Pension Scheme stresses the need for training of staff to update their skills for them to meet the taste of time.

Comrade Usman Danturaki said such training would address the challenges of digitall transformation from conventional to virtual environments in response to the unique conditions of global trend .

Earlier, the acting permanent secretary of the Ministry Ibrahim Maidawa who commended the initiative and legacy put in place said it would go a long way to enhance the productivity of the directors.

The acting permanent secretary who is also the Director Human Resources of the Ministry said the component of human resources capacity building can not be overemphasized, hence the need for the training.

One of the resource persons Dr. Shuaibu Suleiman who said the ICT training is apt and timely, called for its sustainance.
