Bauchi State Government says it is working out modalities to reintroduce societal re-orientation programme geared towards changing the negative mind set of people of the state.
The State Commissioner for Religious Affairs and Societal Reorientation Alhaji Yakubu Ibrahim Hamza Stated this in an interview with newsmen shortly after a stakeholders meeting in Bauchi.
Alhaji Yakubu Hamza explained that part of the modalities include engagement with critical stakeholders who have ideas on the previous programme of “Gyara Kayan ka” with a view to contribute their quoter toward the actualization of the programme.
The Commissioner said religious and traditional rulers as well as community leaders would be part of the stakeholders.
According to him, a committee would be set up to ensure proper and effective implementation of the program.
The meeting has in attendance, Commissioner for humanitarian affairs, youth and sport, information, Higher Education, Education, Local Government and chieftaincy affairs among others.
