Bauchi State Government has reputed claim of allocated N400 million in the 2025 budget to purchase six computers for the office of the Secretary to the State Government.

In a letter signed by the Secretary to the state government Aminu Hammayo, it said the claim is nothing but a pedestrian and bankrupt propaganda effort.

According to the letter, the idea was initiated to smear the reputation of Governor Bala Mohammed’s administration with baseless accusations.

It added that, what was allocated is N250 million for the procurement of IT infrastructure, which includes approximately 150 computers to be distributed across the SSG office, Bauchi Environmental Protection Agency, Hajj Commission, Bauchi State Primary Healthcare Service, and selected secondary schools in Bauchi State amongst others.

Statement further revealed that, the initiative underscores the administration’s unwavering commitment to modernizing critical institutions and advancing the digital transformation of the state.

According to the statement, Bauchi State Government will not be swayed by these antics but remains steadfast in its mission to deliver impactful, progressive governance for its people.
