BAUCHI STATE GOVERNMENT DONATES LAND TO TRADITIONAL MEDICINE PRACTITIONERS

The state government has donated a piece of land to Traditional Medicine Practitioners Association of Nigeria Bauchi State chapter located in Open Air Theater premises for the provision of Traditional Medicine Village with a view to promote traditional medicine activities in the state.

The Acting Chairman of the association, Alh Ahmadu Rufai Sarkin Magani of Darazo disclosed this in an interview with our reporter in his office.

Sarkin Magani of Darazo expressed appreciation to the governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed for carrying all along and the support given to Traditional Medicine Practitioners Association since assumption into power, adding that, the land will go a long way in bringing their members together to rid with quacks in the business which he described as unprecedented.

Alhaji Ahmadu Rufai noted that the traditional medicine village will comprise training center, materials processing ground among others to coup with modern day traditional medicine practice.

In his comment, the Director Research of the forum, Dr. Lawal Abdullahi Kasuwar waya who is the committee chairman of the allocated land, appeals to the government to assist in clearing the waste heal situated at the place and apportionment of the land for the development of traditional medicine in the state.

Aslo commenting, the Bauchi Local Government Chairman of the association, Dr. Auwalu Adamu commended the governor for the gesture assured members support and cooperation toward achieving the developmental initiative of the present administration in the state.
