Bauchi state government distributes rice and cows to Islamiyya schools for this year’s maulud

Bauchi state government has distributed rice and cows worth millions of naira to Islamiyya schools and Islamic associations for this year’s maulud celebration.

At flagging off ceremony in Bauchi, the Commissioner Religions Affairs and societal reorientation Alhaji Yakubu Ibrahim Hamza said the gesture was to enable the Islamiyya schools and Islamic organizations feed those that who will participate in the celebration.

Alhaji Yakubu Hamza explained that the distribution will cut across the twenty local government areas of the state for them to celebrate the maulud with ease and urged the beneficiaries to patient with the little they will given it is due to economic challenges.

He uses the forum to call on Islamic clerics not to allow little token to bring disunity among them.

In a remark, the Chairman maulud committee Malam Ibrahim Baba Karami who expressed gratitude to Allah for witnessing the day applauded Governor Bala Muhammad for the donation and urged the beneficiaries to ensure judicious distribution of the items for what it is meant for.

Some of the beneficiaries Zakariyau Dauduwo and Nasiru Sudani thanked the Governor for the kind gesture and pledged to distribute the commodity judiciously.
