The state government reassured safety of the tourists visiting Yankari Game Reserve and other tourism attraction sites in the state.
The General Manager, Bauchi state Tourism Development Corporation and overseer Yankari Game Reserve, Muhammad Nasir Yusuf made this known in an interview with newsman in his office.
Muhammad Nasir Yusuf reaffirm government commitment to provide shuttle busses for easy transportation of tourists to the tourism locations especially Yankari Resort as part measures taking to mitigate the effects of fuel subsidy removal for the development of the sector.
The General Manager appealed to the public to disregard misinformation concocted by some unpatriotic individuals to tarnish the good image of the giant game reserve in Africa and undermine tourism for their selfish interest saying, the resort is fully secured and habitable for local and foreign tourists.
Enumerating some of their achievement, he said the management in collaboration with WCS, trained rangers and other staff of Yankari Game Reserve on improving their service capacity in protecting animals from the activities of poachers within their domain.
Nasir Yusuf called on the tourists across the world to patronize Yankari Game Reserve for the benefit of their health, pleasure and mind refreshment.
