BAUCHI STATE GOVERMENT INTRODUCES NEW DIRECTORATES FOR WATER SANITATION AND HYGIENE

The state government has created a new Directorates for Water Sanitation and Hygiene in all the twenty local government with a view to increase water and sanitation hygiene in the society.
To this end, the committee for the establishment of New wash Directorate has visited katagum local government to ensure take up the new directorate in the Area.
Speaking,the chairman of the committee in the state Engineer Habib Muhammad, said Bauchi State governor senator Bala Abdulkadir muhammad Has approved and mandated the committee to establish the new directorate in order to promote basic health and water sanitation and hygiene.
According to him, the new directorate will promote community development and ensure sustainable access to safe water, and to develop strong relationships with RUWASAand other non Governmental organisations.
Earlier in his welcome address,the executive chairman katagum local government Hon Yusuf Babayo Zaki represented by the head of administration katagum local government, Malam Abdulmudallib Mahmood thanked State governor senator Bala Abdulkadir muhammad for creating new Wash directorate which will promote water health and hygiene across the state.
