Bauchi State First Lady Reaffirms Continued Support to the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists Towards Enhancing It’s Services to the Nation

The State first lady Hajiya Aisha Bala Muhammad has reaffirmed her continued support to the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists in order to enhance it’s services to the Nation.

The First lady stated this when she attended a meeting programme for the Extended Central Working Committee CWC organized by the National Secretariat of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists in collaboration with the Bauchi State Chapter NAWOJ held at the Development Exchange Center in Bauchi.

She said the role of women Journalists in the society cannot be over emphasize, deemed it necessary to assist them for Nation building.

Hajiya Aisha Bala said her foundation is poised towards helping women and less privileged in the society, added that women Journalists are facing gender differences, assured her office readiness to protect their right in order to conduct their assigned duties diligently.

Also speaking, the Chairman of the Occasion who is the Commissioner state Ministry for Information and Communication Comrade Usman Garba Danturaki said, the state first lady Hajiya Aisha Bala Muhammad is a woman who gives a desired support targetting the orphans and the most vulnerable people not only in the state but the entire Nigeria, urged her to maintain the spirit.

Danturaki commended Governor Bala Muhammad for tackling the security challenges bedeviling the state, noting that NAWOJIANS had made significant impact to the society, urged them to maintain the spirit for the growth and development of the state.

In his remarks, the chief host at the event, who is the special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Governor Bala Mohammad Comrade Mukhtar Gidado applauded NAWOJIANS for advocating the issues concerning women for the sustenance and well being of the society.

He described Governor Bala Muhammad led administration as a Media friendly and urged the pen professionals in the state to promote government policies and programs for the betterment of the society.

In her presentation, the National Chairperson of NAWOJ, Hajiya Aisha Ibrahim, said the aim of organizing the Central Working Committee’s meeting was to give women an avenue to discuss and find lasting solutions to all problems affecting the their association for uptimum performance.

She said NAWOJIANS had supported communities faced with natural disasters in Borno state in order to ameliorate their suffering

The National Chairperson solicited the state first lady Hajiya Aisha Bala Muhammad to provide NAWOJIANS with office to enable them hold meetings among others

She appreciated the state commissioner Ministry of women Affairs, Hajiya Zainab Baban Takko for collaborating with NAWOJIANS aimed at reducing problems affecting women in the society.

In his goodwill message, the state NUJ Chairman, Comrade Umar Sa’idu, described the CWC meeting as the first of its kind, urged the National and the state NAWOJIANS to maintain the spirit.

The NUJ Chairman said women Journalists played a vital role in the society, henced the need for all stakeholders to put hands on deck to support girl child in the country.

Comrade Umar Sa’idu applauded governor Bala Muhammad for a job Welldone in the areas of promoting journalists, and executing lots of developmental projects,

Earlier in her welcome address, the state NAWOJ Chairperson Hajiya Rashida Yusuf, commended the state first lady Hajiya Aisha Bala Muhammad for supporting the Association at all times.
