BAUCHI STATE COMMISSIONER FOR CULTURE AND TOURISM CALLS FOR SELFLESS SERVICE IN THE CIVIL SERVICE

The Bauchi state Commissioner Ministry of Culture and Tourism Alhaji Abdul Hassan has called for Selfless service by civil servants, describing it as key component in improving the civil service .
Alhaji Abdul Hassan made the remark during a send forth ceremony of three staff of the ministry Ali Sulaiman, Obadiya Monday and Charity Wale, who retired from service, organized by the Bauchi state Tourism Development Corporation held at the agency’s premises, Bauchi.
Represented by the Director Admin and Human Resources Alhaji Jibrin Aliyu, the Commissioner called on other staff to emulate the good behavior exhibited by the retirees during their service which contributed a lot to the development of the agency, the ministry and the state civil service in general.
Speaking at the event, the General Manager, Bauchi state Tourism Development Corporation, Dr Muhammad Nasir Yusuf assured of their commitment to collaborate with security agencies towards restrengthening the level of security in the state tourism sector.
Dr Muhammad Nasir called on ministries, departments and agencies in the state to embrace the culture of honouring staff during their retirement period so as to motivate them and alleviate the challenges considering the economic situation in the country.
The General Manager appreciated the commitment of the retirees in the sustainance of the agency during their service, and therefore charged them to accept the agency’s request whenever their input is required.
Muhammad Nasir solicited for the retirees to forgive any shortcomings in the course of the service and wishes them success in their future endeavors.
Also speaking on behalf of the retirees, the immediate retired deputy general manager of the agency, Alhaji Ali Sulaiman thanked God for seeing them through their service life and the management and staff for the gesture accorded them.
Alhaji Ali Sulaiman described the agency’s general manager as a unique leader, saying his commitment take the agency to the higher level therefore asked him to maintain the spirit.
