Bauchi Speaker describe Dogara’s attack on Governor Bala Mohammed as baseless.

Bauchi State House of Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Y. Suleiman, has condemned what he described as a “verbose, baseless, and self-serving diatribe” issued by former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara, against Governor Bala Mohammed.
In a statement signed by his spokesperson Mukhtar Garba Kobi, Suleiman said Dogara’s allegations were nothing more than an attempt to tarnish the reputation of a leader committed to the progress of Bauchi State.
The Speaker also described Governor Bala Mohammed as a statesman whose leadership transcends personal interest and political maneuvering.
According to him, the Governor’s record of valuable services, grassroots appeal, and commitment to governance earned him the people’s mandate, not backroom deals or personal favors.
He dismissed Dogara’s claims of betrayal, referring it as a distortion of political realities.
Responding to Dogara’s allegation that Governor Bala lacked financial capacity to run his 2019 campaign, Suleiman stated that the Governor’s success was built on a collective support from the people.
The Speaker further refuted Dogara’s accusation that Governor Bala failed to support other party candidates, emphasizing that the he had consistently worked towards party’s unity and collective success.
On the alleged grievances between Governor Bala Mohammed and former Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, Suleiman dismissed the claims as distractions and argued that while leadership naturally involves disagreements, Governor Bala had always prioritized collaboration over personal disputes.
The Speaker also highlighted Governor Bala’s achievements, including infrastructural development, healthcare improvements, and investment in education.
Suleiman urged politicians to engage in constructive discourse rather than resorting to character assassination.
