Bauchi Speaker confers with traditional tittle of “Barden Kudun Katagum”

The Emir of Katagum Alh. Umar Farouk the second, has conferred traditional title of Barden Kudun Katagum on the speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Y. Sulaiman for his immense contribution to the rapid development of the State.

Presenting the letter of appointment for the title to the speaker, the representative of the Emir, Maidalan Katagum, Kabir Dandubi, charged the recipient to put more effort in his elbows to uplift the living standard of the people.

He expressed appreciation for the Speaker’s selfless service to humanity and encouraged him to view the traditional title as an opportunity to further the development of both the Emirate and the state.

Receiving the appointment letter, the speaker, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Y. Suleiman appreciated the Emir for the recognition, saying that, the title is not only a personal honor but also a call to service, reflecting the trust and confidence the Emirate has in his abilities.

The lawmaker promised to be dedicated and loyal to the emirate, pledging to work hard in promoting the welfare of Bauchi citizens.

He assured to fulfill his responsibilities by working diligently to advance the interest of the people and achieve the Katagum Emirate’s objectives.
