Bauchi Senator, donates cash, valuable items to flood victims

The Senator representing Bauchi North Senatorial District, Sen. Sama’ila Dahuwa Kaila has paid a sympathy visit to the flood affected communities in Gamawa and Zaki Local Government Areas.
In his speech during the visit at Gamawa District head palace over the weekend, the Senator commiserated with the victims over the unprecedented flooding that caused serious discomfort leading to aversive loss of lives, destruction of houses, crops and properties in the area.
Dr. Sama’ila Dahuwa noted that as part of legislative move to bring succour to the victims, he reached out to National Emergency Management Agency(NEMA) and North East Development Commission (NEDC) to come to the aid of victims with shelter and provide relief materials to the affected communities.
He donated five million Naira, 400 hundred bags of rice, 200 pieces each of clothes, blankets, mats, wrappers among other valuables to the victims in Gamawa Local Government.
The Senator also paid a visit and extended similar gesture of two million naira, 200 bags of rice and hundreds pieces each of valuable items in Zaki Local Government Area.
Responding, the district heads of Gamawa and Udubo Alhaji Adamu Abdulkadir Dahuwa and Alhaji Magaji Muhammad Duwa appreciated the visits and thanked him for the kind gesture.
