BAUCHI MINISTRY OF WORKS HANDS OVER TWO DEPARTMENTS TO OTHER MINISTRIES

The Bauchi State Ministry of works and Transport has handed over its Two departments in compliance to His Excellency’s approval for the creation of new Ministries and structuring of others in the Bauchi State public service.

Speaking while formally handing over the departments at a brief occasion held at the headquarters of the Ministry, the Commissioner of works who was ably represented by the permanent Secretary Alh. Abubakar Usman Misau said the decision to create new ministries and restructure others was depended on the policy direction and priority of the Government..

Alh. Abubakar Usman Misau disclosed that the Department of Fire Service and the Department of Public buildings has been unbundled with the Bauchi State Ministry of works and Transport to provide level playing ground to serve the People of Bauchi State.

According to him Department of Fire Service has been formally transferred to the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management and the Department of Public buildings has now transferred to Ministry of Housing and Environment and other handing over activities will follow accordingly.

Applauding the Committee for speedy implementation of the terms of reference and the out-going Departments for thier contribution to the successes recorded in the Ministry, Alh. Abubakar Usman enjoined them to wake up to do more services in their new Ministries.

Highlights of the events was the presentation of handing over notes from Ministry of works to the Two benefiting Ministries.

The occasion was witnessed by the Chairman Implementation Committee Alh. Muhd Isa Tahir who double as the permanent Secretary Ministry of Natural resources.

The Director Housing and Environment Mr. Jerry Sanga represented the Ministry of Housing and Environment and Alh. Abubakar Umar Gabarin represented the Commissioner of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management.
