Bauchi State Ministry for Religious Affairs and societal reorientation has embarked on sensitization visit to palaces of traditional leaders on the need for them to actively contribute their quota towards proper orientation of the people.
During the flag off of the campaign at the palace of District Head of Zungur, the state commissioner of the ministry Alhaji Yakubu Ibrahim Hamza called on people to change their mind sets for a better society.
Alhaji Yakubu Hamza represented by his permanent secretary Alhaji Aliyu Sulaiman, explained that attitude of the people in the society contributed to trials bedeviling the society.
He said the aim of the sensitization was aimed at rubbing minds with traditional leaders to fashion out positive ways of changing the negative attitude of the people.
The commissioner said societal reorientation cannot be achieved unless with collective efforts of relevant stakeholders including the traditional leaders.
In their separate remarks,the Director Societal Reorientation Alhaji Abubakar Titi and Director Community Relations Lydia Abubakar solicited for support and cooperation from the traditional leaders to achieve desired objective.
Responding, the District Head of Zungur Alhaji Ibrahim Sa’idu Jahun represented by the ward Head of Liman Katagum Alhaji Yakubu Abubakar Ghani , said the visit is timely and pledged his resolve to ensure traditional leaders in his domain reach nocks and crannies of the district to enlightened the people towards changing their attitude for better.
