BAUCHI LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL EXTENDS CAMPAIGN TO FOUR DISTRICTS A BID TO BOOST ENROLLMENT DRIVE AND SENSITIZATION

Bauchi Local Government council has extended its Campaign to four districts of Zungur, Galambi and Miri in a bid to boost enrollment drive and sensitize key education stakeholders on government’s commitment to ensure access to quality education for all school-age children.

In his address to the various stakeholders of the districts, the Council Chairman Alhaji Mohmood Babamaji emphasized the importance of a collective effort to ensure that every child in Bauchi State has access to quality basic education, including through Early Childhood Care Development Education, Public Primary, and Junior Secondary Schools.

The Chairman commended Governor Bala Mohammed for prioritizing education in his administration.

He urged the stakeholders to support the governor’s dedication to improve educational infrastructure, curriculum development, teacher welfare, and recruitment to enhance basic education in the state.

According to him, the future of children lies in education and urged parents, guardians, and community leaders to collaborate with the government to ensure every child receives basic education.

In their goodwill messages, the District heads of Zungur Alhaji Ibrahim Jahun, Miri Hussaini Abubakar Othman and Galambi Alhaji Shehu Adamu Jumba assured to support the enrollment of children in public schools, emphasizing the importance of education in building a brighter future for both the children and their communities.

They encouraged parents to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the current administration to provide their children with a quality education.

Ealier, the Bauchi local government education secretary Nuru Abdulhamid urged parents and stakeholders to embrace public education, assuring that UBEC is committed to providing quality education in public schools.

He highlighted education as both a necessity and a right, encouraging everyone to support the Enrollment Drive Campaign Programme.

To this end, enrollment drive campaign committee at Districts levels have been inaugurated to be headed by the district heads.
