Bauchi Gov. Inaugurates new Bauchi office of the Federal Character Commission.
Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has urged the Federal Character Commission to engage stakeholders in decision making process, to ensure Nigerians have access to the opportunities they deserve.
Speaking at the inauguration of the new office of the commission in Bauchi, the Governor noted that the occasion is not just a celebration of a new building, but it represents the state shared collective commitment to the principles of fairness, equity, justice, and national unity.
Represented by his Deputy, Mohammed Auwal Jatau, Governor Bala Mohammed said Bauchi state government recognizes that, the values upheld by the Federal Character Commission are not just national ideals, but they are the foundation upon which can build a just and equitable society.
The Governor therefore applauded the Federal Character Commission for its dedication to promoting fairness in the discharge of its assigned responsibilities, pointing out that its work ensures that every Nigerian, regardless of their background have equal opportunity to participate in the nation’s progress.
On her part, the chairperson of the Federal Character Commission, Muheeba Farida Dankaka expressed gratitude to Governor Bala Mohammed for supporting the commission in the building of the new Bauchi office.
