Bauchi State Commissioner for Higher Education and Regional Integration Dr. Lydia Haruna Tsammani
has applauded Governor Bala Mohammed for his deep thanking in actualizing the creation of Sayawa Chiefdom.
The Commissioner was speaking in an interview with BRC reporter in Bauchi.
She explained that the Governor’s action followed consideration of an earlier request by the community and the need to strengthened peaceful coexistence among the people of the areas.
Dr. Tsammani urged the authorities concern to follow due process in selecting credible person who will uphold the principles of culture and pursue peaceful coexistence by bringing all people and ethnic groups within its domain together.
According to her. Sayawa people were known for their resilience, doggedness, struggle and called on them to continue maintaining unity for the rapid development of the area.
She also advised that, the contest for the chieftaincy should be devoid of rancour but play within the ambit of the law.
