BAUCHI CLERIC CALLS FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF STRINGENT MEASURES, TO END ACTIVITIES OF DRUG PEDDLERS.

The Chief Imam of Bauchi Central Mosque, Imam Bala Ahmad Baban Innah has called on government to implement stringent measures, that would end the activities of drug peddlers in the society.
Imam Bala Ahmad Baban Innah made the call when he declared the end of this year’s ramadan tafsir session, held at the mosque.
He attributed the rampant ativities of thugs and other social voices bedeviling the people to the prevalence of narcotic drugs among youths.
Imam Baban Innah, enjoined parents to rise-up to their obligations, to instill good moral values, and decried non chalant attitudes of some youths who were trained on vocational skills for self reliant, to serious the discharge of their obligations.
He stressed the need for security agencies to live up to their task of safeguarding lives and property of the citizens.

Imam Baban Innah therefore, appealed to the state government for more employment opportunities to the youth and initiate various intervention programmes that have direct impact on the lives of the citizenry, for the peace and development of the state.

The Chief Imam enjoined the Muslim ummah to sustain the teachings of the religion as exemplified during the holy month of Ramadan.
