BAHA Speaker presents score card of his achievements to his constituents.
The Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly Abubakar Y. Sulaiman has presented to his constituents his achievements so far since he got their mandate even as he promised to do more.
At a town hall meeting, for inclusive and development with a theme ” An equitable approach for inclusive governance held in Ningi, the Speaker said the gesture was part of efforts to fulfill his campaign promises to the electorates.
The lawmaker who explained that legislative business is a game of ranking, noting that people of Ningi constituency will benefit more in the future.
According to him, the purpose of the meeting was to present his score card of achievements and to brainstorm on the way forward for development in Ningi Central constituency and to ensuring that the constituency is totally transformed to an enviable height.
The Speaker during the Town Hall meeting, presented ten thousand naira to each of the over 250 registered delegate of the meeting.
In their various speeches, the member representing Burra, Tanko Ibrahim, Chinade/Madara Dr. Nasiru Ahmed Ala and that of Warji Garba Lawal commended the Speaker for his quality representation which is transforming Ningi Constituency and the State in general.
While describing his tenures as a blessing to entire Ningi Emirate, said people are now wiser to vote people of proven quality and integrity.
The Chairman of Ningi Local Government Alhaji Nasiru Zakarai said people of Ningi constituency have been neglected for decades but the Speaker has changed the narrative in which he facilitated the construction of Arinja-Balma road, Nasaru township roads, the dualization of the Ningi main road, water projects, schools rehabilitation, among many other.
He added that the people of the area will remain highly indebted to the Speaker and the Governor of Bauchi State for wiping away their tears of many years.
The Chairman of the town hall meeting organizing committee Alhaji Bala stated that the communities will support the present adminstration to reciprocate what is done to them and have decided to collectively endorse the Speaker to contest the seat of member, representing Ningi/Warji Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives comes twenty twenty seven so as to continue bring more developments to the people.
