 BAHA Education Committee pledges to ensure smooth takeoff of academic activities at the newly established college of Education Dass.

Bauchi State House of Assembly Education committee has conducted a two-day interactive session with the management of the newly established College of Education (Technical), Dass.

The Chairman of the Dr. Nasiru Ahmed Ala, explained that the interactive session was facilitated to address matters affecting the smooth take-off and development of the college.

He highlighted the importance of the institution, being the only state-owned technical college, and emphasized the need for collaboration to ensure its success.

He requested the support of Emir Of Dass Alhaji Usman Bilyaminu Othman in arranging an appointment for a joint delegation comprising the Education Committee and the college management to brief the governor on the institution’s achievements and challenges.

The Deputy Chairman of the Committee, Musa Wakili Nakwada, expressed gratitude for the Emir’s warm reception and acknowledged the significance of establishing such institution in Dass.

He reaffirmed the committee’s commitment to ensuring that the college becomes a beacon of academic excellence in the region.

In his remark, the Provost of the College, Dr. Alkali expressed his deep appreciation for the committee’s concern for the institution’s growth.

He praised the Emir’s role in fostering education in the region and requested his continued support in ensuring that the college’s needs are addressed, especially infrastructure and staff recruitment.

In his response, the Emir of Dass welcomed the committee’s initiative, pledging his full support for the college’s development and expressed optimism about the future of the institution and suggested that the college’s programs be expanded beyond technical courses to meet the diverse academic needs of the area, including the aspirations of former students from the Bilyaminu Othman College of Education, Dass.

The Emir emphasized that cooperation between stakeholders is essential to achieving lasting success.
