Al-muhibbah Foundation empowers 300 PWDs in Bauchi.

Al-muhibbah Foundation, United Nations Population Found in collaboration with the office of the Bauchi State First lady have been joined the world in commemoration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities skill Development and Economic Empowerment Programme in the state.
The celebration held at the Government House Bauchi, has a theme, “Empowering Disability Inclusion,” aligns perfectly with our mission to build a society where everyone, irrespective of Challenges has access to equal opportunities.
In her Address, the state first lady Dr Aisha Bala Mohammed said the international Day for person with Disabilities is a Day that reminds the public of the strength, potential and limitless possibilities of every individual.
To this end, she said the. Foundation has empowered three hundred disabled persons with a star-up capital and also, empowered one hundred persons with disabilities in collaboration with UNFPA..
The First lady said the initiative is more than financial support, it is an investment in dreams, skills and the inherent capabilities of those who often face systemic Barriers and ensure that these remarkable individuals can create businesses, generate income, and become architects of their destinies.
Speaking At the event, the United nations Population Found officer, Miss Debora Tabara said the partnership would continue to support women and Girls especially persons with disability to engage themselves in to Various Small Businesses to eradicate poverty. .
Deborah Tabara Commended the First lady on her efforts towards assisting women and Girls in the state.
In her welcome address, the coordinator of Almuhibbah Foundation Hajiya Zarah M Baba said the Foundation is non Governmental organization that through the year carry out interventions to less privileged especially women, children and Youth in areas of health, Education,poverty alleviation programmes skills acquisition and empowerment.
Zarah M Baba also revealed that Almuhibbah Foundation with support from partners, had empowered three hundred persons with Disabilities in various skills training, including catering, shoes selling among others to help them and their families to stop begging.
