BAUCHI STATE COMMISSIONER FOR NATURAL RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT INSPECTS PROJECT SITES;

 

 

The Commissioner for Natural Resources Development, Mohammed Maiwada Bello has conducted an inspection of ongoing project sites of Kaura Mineral Processing and Purchasing Center and Bauchi Oil and Gas Academy permanent site in Alkaleri Local Government Area of the State to assess progress and ensure adherence to quality standards.
During the visit, the Commissioner emphasized the importance of delivering durable and high-quality infrastructure that meets the needs of the people.
Addressing contractors and project supervisors,the commissioner warned against substandard work and urged strict compliance with approved specifications.
The inspection covered key projects to include minerals processing block, administration office and Mosque was in foundation stages at Kaura Mineral Processing and Buying Center and at BOGAA- administration block, Library, Workshop, Laboratory, Lecture Theatre, ICT, Clinic, Male/Female Hostels and Senior/Junior Staff quarters among other infrastructures was at the excavation stages.
The Commissioner assured the public that regular monitoring would continue to guarantee transparency and accountability in project execution hence the visit which underscores the State’s Government determination in providing good and quality infrastructures to the State. He added that such surprise inspection would be carried out from time to time to encourage the Contractors.
The project sites Engineers handling the construction of Kaura Minerals processing and Buying Center Ibrahim Marafa, represented by his Assistant Suleiman Yayaji from I.S.Surveying and Geoinformatics Limited and that of Ayab Company handling construction of BOGAA- Engr. Muhammad Muhammad assured the Commissioner to abide by the specifications guiding the projects as agreed while promising to reach the lintel stage at Mineral Processing and Buying Center within the next forty days while the project will pass the underground stages to surface stages at BOGAA before the rainy season.
The leader of the State Government Engineers monitoring the projects Arch. Maimunat Omar Hassan from the State Ministry of Work commended the level of compliance to projects specifications and urged the Contractors to maintain the standard operation procedures.
Residents and stakeholders present during the inspection exercise expressed their appreciation for the government’s oversight efforts, urging for timely completion of the projects.
