EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN KATAGUM LOCAL GOVERMENT COUNCIL EMPHASISES THE NEED FOR MUSLIM UMMA TO UPHOLD VIRTUES OF ISLAM

 

 

The executive chairman Katagum Local Government Hon. Yusuf Babayo Zaki has reiterated the need for the Muslim ummah to uphold the virtues of Islam and reflect on the teachings of the holy prophet Muhammad S.A.W during this month of Ramadan.

The chairman was speaking when he paid a visit to the Masjidul Sunnah mosque in Azare to listen to the ongoing Ramadan Tafsir anchored by Malam Magaji Baffah Sulaiman in Azare.

The executive chairman Katagum Local Government Hon. Yusuf Babayo Zaki has reiterated the need for the Muslim ummah to uphold the virtues of Islam and reflect on the teachings of the holy prophet Muhammad S.A.W during this month of Ramadan.

He was speaking when he paid a visit to the Masjidul Sunnah mosque in Azare to listen to the ongoing Ramadan Tafsir anchored by Malam Magaji Baffah Sulaiman in Azare.

Alhaji Yusuf Babayo Zaki noted that Ramadan is a period of sober reflection, in which Muslim ummah will strengthen their faith through fasting, devotion and persistent prayers to achieve ultimate submission to the will of Allah.

while praying for the late Islamic scholar Sheikh Kabiru Ahmad Azare who died two years ago,the chairman stressed the need for the Muslim faithfuls to be committed towards seeking Islamic knowledge for better future.

He said his visit to various Tafsir centres in the local government was to give sense of belonging to all the Islamic religion sects in the area and as well express appreciation to the scholars for their efforts in sustaining prayers to the peace, unity and development of the entire local government, state and the country at large..

Alhaji Yusuf Babayo Zaki however expressed confidence that the current administration of governor Bala Muhammad in the state would continue to do everything possible to promote peace and good morals in addition to the provision of more dividends of democracy to the people of the state.

The chairman also paid similar visits to other Tafsir centres in Azare ,Chinade and Madara Districts where he emphasized the need for peace and unity among people in the Local Government, state and the nation at large.
