Bogoro Local Government Council assures to work hand in hand with BAROTA to achieve the set objectives.

The Executive Chairman of Bogoro Local Government Area Surveyor Yakubu Lawi Sumi, has commended the State Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed for his transformative leadership and contributions to human capital development in the state.
Surveyor Yakubu Lawi Sumi, made the statement when he hosted the Director General and management of Bauchi State Road Traffic Agency (BAROTA) on a working visit to Bogoro.
The Chairman represented by his Deputy Mulki Markus Masoyi, said the people of Bauchi will continue to remember the good policies and programmes initiated by Governor Bala Mohammed many years after.
He assured the local government Council’s readiness to work hand in hand with the agency toward achieving set goals.
In his address, the Director General Bauchi State Road Traffic Agency BAROTA Retired Air Commodore Ahmed Tijjani Baba Gamawa said the purpose of the visit is to brief the council about the commencement of the agency’s operation across the 20 Local Government areas and appreciate to governor for providing the agency with operational vehicles saying the gesture is highly commended.
Director General requested Bogoro Local council to provide BAROTA with operational vehicles and befitting office accommodation to enable them perform their duty effectively and charged the agency’s officers to ensure equity, justice and fairness in discharging their duties.
The DG enjoined the people of Bogoro LGA to embrace the activities of the agency for their benefits.
According to him, the State Government has began the payment of allowances to the BARATO officers and has approved the additional recruitment of another 500 hundred personnel in the agency.
In his contribution, the Senior Special Adviser to the Governor on Traffic Management Alhaji Aminu Kobi described the agency as an independent agency that would work in collaboration with other security agencies.
Alhaji Kobi, further outlined the agency responsibilities to include removing and impounding vehicles obstructing highways and arresting road traffic violators and will ensure smooth traffic flow in urban centers and major towns as well as promoting road safety awareness among residents and the agency will generate more revenue to the state.
