Bauchi Conservator General advocates the need to protect animals.

The State Conservator General and Managing Director Bauchi State Tourism Development Corporation, Dr. Mohammed Nasir Yusuf, said the state government has made a giant stride in improving the state tourism sector.
He made the remarks in an interview with our reporter in his office part of activities to commemorate 2025 world Conservation Day.
Dr. Mohammed Yusuf stated that governor Bala Mohammed prioritizes tourism sector by upgrading tourism sites such as Yankari Game Reserve, Sumi Wildlife Park and Maladumba Lake where animals and special plants are well preserve and protected.
The Conservator General said the United Nations on 23 December twenty thirteen at sixty eight session of it’s assembly, set aside third March as world Conservation Day.
The General Manager Tourism Development Corporation said, considering the economic meltdown cause by climate change, investing in species and plants will help promote the socio economic activities of the world.
According to him, the event is celebrated to create awareness for people to understand how to protect the animals especially endangered species and its impact to the economic development.
The theme of this year’s event is “Wildlife Conservation Finance Investment in People and and Planet.
