Warji LGA Chairman Distributes Motorcycles, Delivers Grassroots Development and Inclusive Leadership

In a bid to enhance governance and strengthen community representation, the Executive Chairman of Warji Local Government Area, Hon. Aminu Barmini, has distributed 15 brand-new Haojue motorcycles to council members and two aides. The gesture aims to ensure timely attendance to duties and facilitate access to remote areas to better understand and address the challenges facing constituents.

Hon. Barmini emphasized that the initiative reflects his commitment to true democracy and bringing leadership closer to the people.

He highlighted that the motorcycles will help council members reach every corner of their wards, fostering stronger connections with the electorate.

The chairman proudly outlined key accomplishments within his first six months in office to include; awarded scholarships to 60 students studying in health institutions to strengthen the local healthcare system, increased ward heads’ monthly allowances from ₦5,000 to ₦10,000 and purchased land for Christian graves as Community Welfare, banned extravagant wedding parties and outlawed the traditional charm play known as Wasan Dodo as Social Reforms.

The chairman said he has constructed hand-pump boreholes, built water drainage systems to prevent flooding, and worked tirelessly to restore electricity for local economic growth.

He doubled the impress allowance for sectional heads and appointed 160 advisers and special assistants to enhance governance.

The executive chairman of Warji, expressed gratitude to Governor Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad for executing transformative projects in Warji, including; the Warji-Gwaram road, which boosts agricultural activities and income generation, the construction of an international-standard district palace and a general hospital with staff quarters, the construction of the Warji-Dagu road and the provision of official vehicles for the chairman and deputy chairman.

Alhaji Barmini acknowledged the supportive working relationship with his deputy, Hon. Habibu Idris Tiyin, council members, and staff, which he credits for the successful execution of his policies and Programmes, encouraged other local government chairmen in Bauchi State to adopt an inclusive and people-centered leadership style.

In a welcome remarks the Head of Administration Warji Local Government Alhaji Kawu Chadi, described Barmini as a leader of excellence who has restored the glory of civil service in Warji.

On his part the former Warji chairman, Alhaji Adamu Muhammad Danjumai applauded Barmini for unbiased leadership and urged him to continue alleviating residents’ hardships.

In her Goodwill message, the Special Assistant to Governor Bala on Poverty Alleviation, Mrs. Monica Musa Nababa noted that political divisions have faded under Barmini’s inclusive governance.

In his remarks, the District Head of Warji, Alhaji Ibrahim Sama’ia praised the chairman’s patriotism and urged him to provide mobility for traditional leaders to strengthen grassroots leadership.

On his part, the PDP Chairman of Warji, Alhaji Ibrahim Dawatsi, called on residents to continue supporting Barmini’s vision for progress in agriculture, health, water access, and economic empowerment.

Also commenting on the event the stakeholders Chairman of Warji Alhaji Adamu Yahaya said, with a clear vision and dedication to grassroots development, Hon. Aminu Barmini is steadily transforming Warji into a model of inclusive and responsive governance, setting a new standard for leadership across Bauchi State.

Beneficiaries of the motorcycle distribution pledged to use their new vehicles to scout and report local issues, ensuring swift government intervention.

The event also had political ripple effects, as several youths defected from the APC to the PDP, citing Barmini’s visible achievements in just six months as a catalyst for their decision.
