
Bauchi state government would soon renovate the ten community Radios across the state and establish more for effective communication at the grassroots.
The state commissioner of information and communication, Alhaji Usman Shehu Usman disclosed this shortly after an unscheduled visit to BRC FM station Toro.
Alhaji Usamn Shehu reaffirmed the commitment of the present administration towards repositioning the state owned media organizations especially at the grassroot for effective implementation of government policies and programmes.
According to him, his visit to BRC FM Toro is inline with his policy to ascertain the conditions, performance and problems of the community Radio Station’s with a view to improving their sevices.
He recalled that, already the state government has purchased digital equipments to state own media organizations BRC and BATV, assuring that soon they will kick start full operations.
Speaking on BRC FM Toro the commissioner expressed satisfaction with the performance of the station interns of maintenance and appreciated the dedication of the staff and urged them to sustain the spirit.
While acknowledging the gesture he assured them that, their commitment would not go invain as soon the state government would work moderlities towards putting smile on the faces of best perfoming staff particularly the volunteer staff.
He therefore, encouraged members of the public, community leaders, politician, clubs and associations to support the activities of the station to enhance effective service delivery.
In their separate responses the managing director BRC Alhaji Chindo Waziri represented by the acting director community Radio Bauchi Alhaji Isa Jungudo and the manager BRC FM Toro Alhaji Danjuma Saleh both commended the effort of the commissioner assuring him of their full support to enhance effective implementation of his vision and mission on Bauchi state own media organization.
During the visit the commissioner was conduct round the station to inspect the facilities by the management of the station.
