Bauchi State Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has set a national precedent by appointing more youths to key positions in government than any other governor in Nigeria.
This bold move underscores his administration’s commitment to youth empowerment and inclusive governance, positioning Bauchi State as a trailblazer in involving young people in leadership and decision-making.
Speaking to journalists in Bauchi, the State Commissioner for Natural Resources Development, Alhaji Muhammad Maiwada Bello, emphasized that Governor Mohammed’s administration has surpassed both his predecessors in the state and other governors across the country in integrating young people into government.
According to him, the governor is committed to building a government that reflects the energy and innovation of the youth.
He added that, the governor’s youth-focused policy is evident across the state executive council, local governments, and advisory roles, with youths occupying critical positions and driving key policy implementations.
Maiwada Bello further revealed that, the governor played a pivotal role in supporting young candidates who contested for chairmanship and councillorship positions during the last elections, many of whom emerged victorious.
The Commissioner of Natural Resources Development noted that these appointments and support are parts of the governor’s broader vision to create a government that prioritizes fresh perspectives and innovative ideas.
As the 2027 general elections approaches, the commissioner called on youths across the nation to support Governor Bala Mohammed in his bid to become Nigeria’s next president, arguing that his track record demonstrates a clear commitment to empowering young people.
Muhammad Maiwada Bello added that with Governor Muhammad as president, Nigeria would see a government that fully harnesses the potential of its youth population, fostering innovation, inclusion, and development across the country.
He believed that the governor’s youth-focused leadership has positioned him as a credible contender for the presidency, with his administration serving as a model of how inclusive governance can drive progress.
Muhammad Maiwada Bello reiterated that Governor Bala Mohammed when giving to the chance would guarantee the continuation of policies that prioritize young people and ensure their active participation in shaping the future of the nation.
