GOMBE STATE GOVERNMENT REINSTATE COMMITMENT TO IMPROVE WELFARE OF CIVIL SERVANT

The Gombe State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to prioritizing the welfare of its civil servants, with a focus on retirement preparation and capacity building.
At the closing ceremony of a 3-day workshop on Retirement Preparation, organized by the Ministry for Local Government and Community Development in collaboration with Prime Tech Solutions Industries, the Commissioner for Local Government and Community Development, for local goveenment officials from 11 local government areas from Gombe state Abdulkadir Mohammed said top priority will be given to Retirement Preparation and Capacity Building of staff.
The commissiiner who was represented by his personal Adviser Garba Mumammad Ubale emphasized the state government’s dedication to the welfare of its civil servants are committed to ensuring that our civil servants are well-equipped to face the challenges of retirement and beyond.
He explained that the state government has been settling pensions and gratuities for our retired civil servants, and we will continue to prioritize their welfare the welfare of civil servants in the state.
Earlier the Chief Consultant of Prime Tech Solutions Industries, Professor Mansur Malumfashi, commended the Gombe State Government for its commitment to the welfare and development of its citizens saying that they are proud to partner with the Gombe State Government on this important initiative.
A resource person at b the workshop from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Bauchi, Dr. Aminu Muhammad Makama,who emphasized the importance of effective communication during emergencies said good communication is crucial in reducing risks associated with misinformation.
Another resource person, Professor Umar Abdulhamid,encouraged participants to prepare for retirement by engaging in entrepreneurial activities saying that retirement is not the end of one’s career, but rather a transition to a new phase of life.
Some Participants to include, Mrs Rauta Audu from Akko local government, Muhd Hadi Hashimu from Dikko local government and Sa’idu Ahmad from Balanga Local Government, all expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to participate in the workshop saying that the workshoo has broaden their horizon and have gained valuable knowledge and skills on retirement preparation and emergency management
They promised to step down the knowledge gained during the training to his colleagues as well ensure that the knowledge gained from this workshop is disseminated to all civil servants in at the local government level.
The workshop, brought together Deputy Heads of Administration from the 11 local government areas of Gombe State and other stakeholders. Participants were equipped with essential skills on retirement preparation, coordination, and communication in emergencies.
Higlight of the event is presentstion of Certificates to participants at the end of the workshop, in recognition of their participation and commitment to acquiring new skills.
