Bauchi State Govt organizes one day workshop on behavioral change to Special school Students.

Bauchi state Government has organized a one day sensitization workshop to students at the special school Toro, to boost the moral behaviors among student of special schools in the state.
Declaring the workshop open, the state Commissioner of education Dr. Mohammed Lawal Rimi Zayam said the workshop is aimed to change the behavioral attitude of the students for academic excellent in the state.
Represented by the zonal director zonal education office Toro Mr. Alex Jegede, the commissioner reaffirmed the commitment of the state toward installing good moral behavior among students of the state especially special schools for better academic performance.
He therefore, urged the student to use the lessons learnt at the workshop and put it into practice to help them excel in their academic perused.
In his welcome address, the chairman special school Management Board Alhaji Babangida Barau Jibrin said the workshop would be conducted in all the special schools across the state.
According to him, the workshop was supported by the state governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir.
Alhaji Babangida Jibrin assured the commitment of the board toward maintain it status quo of graduating best among the best students in the state.
In his key note address, the principal of special school Toro, Malam Adamu Amin Ibrahim said the school has excel in academic activities, hence need for the school to represent the state in various academic debates and quiz competitions at the national and zonal levels.
Aminu Ibrahim said the workshop would positively change the behavioral attitude of the students.
In their separate paper presentations, Dr. Joshua Wasanni of ATAP Bauchi spoke on homosexual, its effect and consequences among students while Dr. Sale Garba of ATAP Bauchi also spoke on subject selection and combination for academic excellent and Mrs. Macdalin Micheal of Abubakar Tafawa University Teaching Hospital Bauchi spoke at length on common disease that affect Students in campuses.
Also speaking, the Zonal Coordinator WEAC Bauchi, Mr I. B. Omaqban spoke on the Exams malpractice and its effect in the academic activities and the way forward.
The sensitization workshop was attended by the officials of SSMB, Staff of Special School, Members of SBMC and PTA among others.
