Commissioner of Works Solicits BAHA Committee’s Backing for State’s Infrastructure Growth

The Hon. Commissioner Bauchi State Ministry of works and Transport Prof. Titus Ketkuka has solicited support and a synergy with the Bauchi State House of Assembly *BAHA* Committee on Works and Transport towards providing a seamless infrustructural delivery, inline with the yearning and aspirations of the people of Bauchi State.
Prof. Titus Ketkuka made the appeal, while receiving the House committee led by its Chairman on a courtesy visit today in his office, describing the committee as the most highly powered, pointing the high ranking House members in the committee.
The Commissioner reiterated that the Ministry of works is an image making body of Governor Bala led administration, adding that the lineup infrustructural development policies of the Governor in the Ministry needs the cooperation of relevant stakeholders to make them realisable.
Prof. Ketkuka appreciated the House committee for the visit, promised to work hand in hands with the committee members to enable him justify the confidence reposed in him by the Governor.
He used the occasion to applaud the staff of the Ministry of works and transport for showing their commitment to positively work together for the betterment of the Ministry and Bauchi State at large.
In his welcome address the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Engineer Mohammad Hamisu Garba *FNSE* informed the Commissioner that the Ministry has a complete synergy with the esteem BAHA committee on work and Transport, acknowledging that the ministry is a safe place for everyone.
Engr. Mohammad Hamisu therefore urged the committee members to continue to give the usual / unflinching support to the Ministry and the Commissioner who was recently appointed.
Earlier the Chairman House Committee on works and Transport Hon. Engr. Garba Kawu said they in the Ministry to congratulate the Commissioner for his appointment and to familiarise themselves with him.
Hon. Garba Kawu emphasised that the core mandate of the committee was to make meaningful contributions to the development and advancement of infrustructural delivery through collaboration and oversight functions.
He reiterated the commitment of his members to provide all support required to enable the Ministry to achieve its mandate.
The occasion was fruitfully delivered and the highlight of it was words of advice to the Ministry by the Deputy Speaker Rt. Hon. Jamilu Umaru Dahiru who doubles as the committee member and the Deputy Chairman of the Committee Hon Bala Abdu Rishi.
