BOGORO LOCAL GOVERMENT COUNCIL PLEDGES SUPPORT TO HEALTH SECTOR

     The Executive Chairman of Bogoro Local Government area Hon Surveyor Yakubu Lawi Sumi, has pledges Support to the health sector.

The chairman stated this when he hosted a Non governmental Organisations in Bogoro (AMF) eHealth Africa team on overview stakeholders meeting on the 2023 post distribution monitoring of net presence, usage and condition.

Surveyor Sumi, who was represented by the Director Primary Health Care Department Bogoro, Mr. Godwin Hakuri reaffirmed the local government’s commitment to support eHealth Africa in advancing health care services across the Local Goverment Area.

According to him Bogoro local government is ready to work closely with the eHealth Africa, to compliment the effort of the state governor Senator Bala Mohammed Abdullkadir in improving the health sector.

He urged religious and traditional leaders to sensitize their people to have a hitch free post distribution monitoring of Insecticide Treated Nets (ITNs) campaign in Bogoro.

In her remarks, the eHealth Africa Supervisor Bauchi state Mrs. Attah Oyimeso Christiana expressed gratitude to the executive Chairman for his kind gesture and emphasized the importance of collaboration in achieving excellence.

Mrs. Attah Oyimeso stated that the eHealth Africa is committed to improving health outcomes and preventing the spread of diseases.

She revealed that the post distribution monitoring of insecticide treated mosquito nets initiative aims at assessing the accuracy of the net distribution within Bogoro Local Government area.

According to her, monitoring team will visit households to monitor the nets presence, usage and condition and how well the nets are being used and accepted by local communities.

She disclosed that against malaria foundation (AMF) have distributed over 3,284,074 insecticide treated mosquito nets in Bauchi state Nigeria during the 2023 campaign to 1,272,218 households in the month of July, 2023.

In his vote of the thanks, the Village Head of Bogoro Mr. Nuhu Tafida, expressed gratitude to the eHealth Africa for overview Post distribution monitoring stakeholders meeting, and assured them of the traditional rulers hundred percent support towards the success of the exercise.
