NIGERIA BAR ASSOCIATION APPLAUDS BAUCHI CJ FOR IMPROVING THE JUDICIAL SYSTEM

The Nigerian Bar Association Katagum Branch has paid a courtesy call to the chief Judge of Bauchi State , Justice Hajiya Rabi Talatu Umar.
During the visit, the chairman of the branch, Barrister Mustapha Bila informed the judge that they were in her office to commend her efforts which led to the establishment of the Katagum Branch of the NBA after many years of struggle.
Barrister Mustapha Bila also applauded the Chief Judge for her unwavering commitment towards establishing small claim courts in Bauchi and Azare which are functioning effectively without hitches for the litigants and lawyers.
He urged the Chief Judge to improve the wefare of the lower judges ( Magistrate and Shari’a Courts judges) and provide all the necessary requirements to enable them funtion effectively.
He further appreciated her appointing one of the NBA members Dr. Ibrahim Danjuma as the executive secretary judicial service commission who according to him is performing wonderfully.
The NBA chairman thanked the chief judge towards punishing the erring judges to send clear signals to other would-be offenders that may commit similar offences.
He pleaded with the chief judge to provide their branch office with vehicles, accommodation and furniture to ease their operations.
Responding,, the chief judge Bauchi State, Justice Hajiya Rabi Talatu Umar thanked the NBA members for the visit and promised to attend to their request in order to build more cordial relationship among themselves in the judicial service.
