
Member representing Bauchi Central at the House of Representatives Alhaji Aliyu Aminu Garu has constructed and furnished six classrooms at Kajitu Village and handed over to Bauchi State Universal Education Board for management.
Speaking during the handing over of the project, Alhaji Aliyu Garu said the gesture is part of his effort to support the educational needs of the rural communities in seeking quality western and Islamic education
He also announced his readiness of complementing efforts of providing more classrooms aimed at enhancing learning conveniences to students.
On her part, the State Commissioner for Women affairs, Child Development and Social Welfare Hajiya Zainab Baban Takko commended Aliyu Garu for his commitment of providing projects across the Local Government and called on other politicians to emulate for the overall development of the state.
She called on the benefiting community to ensure they enroll their children and wards in schools especially girls to support State Government’s war against illiteracy.
Also speaking, Bauchi Local Government Chairman Alhaji Mahmood Babamaji represented by his Deputy Alhaji Mu’azu Luda urged the member representing Bauchi Central Aliyu Garu to extend such developmental projects to nooks and crannies of the Local Government.
In their separate remarks, the Director School services Bauchi State Ministry of Education Zuhairu Usman and Education Secretary Bauchi Local Government Area Talatu Yakubu assured their readiness to provide qualified teachers and other logistics in the school and cautioned traditional leaders and members of Kajitu community to protect the school from vandals.
Speaking on behalf of the community, the Village Head of Tirwun Muhammad Shehu assured their readiness of protecting the school.
