Arewa Consensus wants Jonathan to contest for President in 2027.
A non-governmental organization, Arewa Consensus for Jonathan, has declared support for Goodluck Ebele Jonathan to contest for Nigerian President come twenty-twenty seven presidential elections.
The National Coordinator, Arewa Consensus Comrade Manniru Musa Yisin made the declaration when he led other members of the association to a press conference held at the NUJ Secretariat, Bauchi
He said the Arewa Consensus deemed it necessary to appeal to Nigerians to vote for Goodluck Jonathan as the twenty-twenty seven President in order to save the country from the current socio economic peril.
Comrade Manniru Musa assured that, if Nigerians voted for Jonathan, in no distance time, he will embark on a rescue Nigeria Project.
He highlighted some achievements recorded from twenty eleven to twenty fifteen during the former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan among which include, reversing Nigerian economy, stabilizing the naira, cemented the unity of the country and improving standard of living of citizens among many others.
He noted that the former President has initiated and actualized many educational programmes including the need-based Almajiri Education Initiative with a view to given the less privileged northern Muslims Children an opportunity to lives decent life.
The National Coordinator of the association called on well meaning Nigerians in both home and abroad to rally round until Jonathan successfully returns to his seat in the next presidential election.
The association used the forum to congratulate the newly elected President of the United States of America, Donald Trump over his victory in the recently concluded Presidential elections in the US.
